Poem - Phoenix Soars Above
(May 16, 2009)

Always there to guide my way
Your hand reaches out
Telling me I can do it
I look ahead
To see you there
Rooting me on
As I reach the end
Your arms wrap around me
Telling me you knew I could do it
I know I can fly
Like the phoenix I will rise again
From the ashes of the dust fallen
I spread my wings and lift off into the air
Soaring high I’m untouchable
From strength around
I gather speed
How high can I reach?
There is no telling
But with you beside
Anything is possible
Like the phoenix I will always rise again
